Surface Preparation

Cut out all cracked, chipped and deteriorated concrete, until a sound surface is obtained. Clean area free of dust, dirt and oily contamination. Rinse surface area with clean water, leaving a damp, puddle-free surface.

Mixing

To each 25 lb. (11.3 kg) bag add approximately 1¼ to 1½ quarts (1¼ to 1½ litres) clean water. Stir and mix slowly to putty-like consistency. Let stand for 5 minutes, then remix. Do not overwater as this will reduce the adhesion and strength properties.

Application

Using a trowel, place the Stone Mason® Vinyl Cement onto the dampened surface, applying pressure to ensure a complete bond. Level and then smooth. Build up in separate layers, in ¼" to ½" (0.6 to 1.3 cm) increments to reduce shrinkage and cracking.

Temperature

Apply in temperatures above 5°C (40°F)

  • Can be opened to light traffic in 24 hours and heavy traffic in 72 hours.
