Thermostik® 840-10 is a 100% solids, asphalt extended, ambient temperature, vulcanizing adhesive, supplied as a two component unit consisting of two liquids which are mixed to produce a pourable adhesive. Thermostik® 840-10 is used for bonding fibreboard, polystyrene, polyisocyanurate, fibrous glass, asphaltic boards, or mineral wool to wood, aged asphalt composition or coal tar roofing, or concrete in the construction of roof decks as well as to modified bitumen membrane air/vapour barriers, asphalt built-up vapour barriers, and Blueskin® membranes. Can also be used for laminating insulation panels to one another. Used as a non–shrink filler in conjunction with Blueskin® Primer Ultra for “plastic boxes” or “pitch pans”.
