Henry Aqua-Bloc PUMA is a liquid-applied, fully-reinforced flashing system for roofing and waterproofing. It is ideal for typical flashing details where a sheet membrane would be difficult to install and subject to failure at seams. PUMA, or polyurethane methyl methacrylate, shares the same desirable rapid-setting qualities of PMMA. But the U, or urethane, in PUMA represents an advancement in this technology, which provides much more flexibility, better crack-bridging and superior cold temperature performance.
Prior to adding the catalyst powder, Aqua-Bloc PUMA resin products must be mixed thoroughly for two minutes using an electric, slow speed, high torque drill with mixing paddle. Aqua-Bloc PUMA resins are supplied in a package greater than two gallons, providing room to mix in the catalyst powder. Refer to the Aqua-Bloc PUMA technical data sheet for the proper amount of catalyst powder to mix into the PUMA resin. Slowly add the catalyst powder to the resin and continue mixing for at least one minute to achieve a streak-free appearance. Refer to Henry technical data sheets and specifications prior to installing the Aqua-Bloc PUMA system.
One of the key benefits to the Aqua-Bloc PUMA system is its rapid-set time. Once properly applied, this system is rain-resistant within one hour. Refer to Henry technical data sheets and specifications prior to installing the Aqua-Bloc PUMA system.
